Morrow Project Travel and Adventure Guide

...a continuous work in progress

(HEY! I KNOW SOMEONE IS LOOKING AT THIS, MY HIT-COUNTER TELLS ME SO, BUT WHO ARE YOU? I'M CURIOUS IF ANYONE IS ACTUALLY READING THIS STUFF, AND EVEN, GOD FORBID, USING IT FOR A GAME :). LET ME KNOW, OK?)

WHAT'S NEW?

February '10: The Principality of Juneau added, a new encounter group in the state of Alaska.

February '10: San Francisco, California and environs extensively re-worked.

February '10: Finally finished emplacing the Snake-eater bases.

California re-write coming soon, the northern part is already done and up.

WHAT IS THIS?

This is a companion resource for the great role playing game "The Morrow Project", one of the best games of the 1980s and still fairly popular today amongst older gamers. It is basically a "where to go" "who to see" sort of guide to give some flavor to areas of the USA that have not been covered in the published game materials yet. If you want to get ahold of me, send me a note at nmdecke@hotmail.com I would love to have some feedback or even some additions!

Just what the heck is the Morrow Project role playing game all about? Start with the the game's Wikipedia page for the full story. You can also check out The Supply Bunker, no one on the web does it better than Gary Gore at The Supply Bunker.

Basically, what I did was take the game modules and other published materials, summarize them, and then add tons and tons of my own stuff to complement them, plus contributions from people on the web. A lot of areas need more work, but they are coming along slowly. If you have stuff to contribute, please let me know, I will gladly accept all submissions. As well, if you see anything in here that you feel is too close to yours, PLEASE let me know and I can make it go away or change it. I really want this to be a quality work and something I can be proud of, and I want to share it with everyone.

WHO IS TO BLAME?

Thanks and due credit: First off I'd like to credit all the authors of the MP books and modules and the nice lawyers at Timeline for not suing me and taking my house. As well, numerous people have helped me immensely in the completion of this project...

Foremost amongst them is John Raner, a familiar name to the online Morrow Project community. His insights, writing skills, and brutally honest editing have made this work what it is today.

And extra special thanks to Vince Tognarelli, for his willingness to wade through the often-garbled and unintelligible backwaters of the Travel Guide, pull out special bits from the muck, clean them up, and make them shine like they should. Vince's excellent suggestions and enjoyable writing style have encouraged me lately to revive this project, which has for too long been in the doldrums. Thanks, Vince!

And thirdly, much thanks to Karl Zohler, who since 2008 has been the co-editor of my ambitious re-write, working closely with both Vince and I to make this Guide a vastly improved product. Karl's knowledge of all things military has been especially welcome. Thanks, Karl!

Numerous other folks have graciously allowed me to use their MP modules and adventures in the Guide. I truly appreciate their willingness to share and the Guide is much richer because of them. Below are the people, with the dates that they agreed. Further email documentation is available upon request. If you, too, want to contribute, by all means let me know!
