Vought F6U Pirate series

This is the start of a very lengthy project to detail the operational histories of the entire run of Vought F6U Pirate single-seat naval jet fighters of the late 1940s and 50s. This was yet another nearly forgotten jet that came and went so quickly in active service that few people remember it today.

There was just one distinct production model of the F6U Pirate and a total of 33 were built...
