North American A-5 Vigilante series
This is the start of a very lengthy project to detail the operational histories of the entire run of North American A-5 Vigilante strategic bombers and recon planes, which gained fame in Vietnam and then faded into obscurity. The A-5 was originally known as the A3J, but the change to A-5 came so early in the development stages of the plane, I’m just going to use the commonly known A-5 designation on these pages (might regret that).
